چکیده

Cotyledonary leaf from 12 days old aseptically grown seedlings were used as explant. explants of two BINA varieties tomato cultured on MS medium containing different concentrations and combinations BAP, Kn IAA for multiple shoot formation via organogenesis. 100% induction was observed when the supplemented with IAA. Earliest within four weeks. The media 1.5 mg/l BAP + 0.5 0.2 found to be best regards number required initiation regeneration, no. regeneration frequency in case both varieties. Shoot elongation obtained same medium. elongated shoots rooted half strength supplanted IBA. vitro plantlets successfully established soil 97% survival rate. Subsequently, transferred large earthen pot acclimatization finally, open field further growth development. Plant Tissue Cult. & Biotech. 32(1): 43-51, 2022 (June)

In vitro flowering and fruiting in tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.)

In vitro flowering and fruiting were induced in plants regenerated from calli of leaf explants of Lycopersicon esculentum var. Pant 11. MS medium supplemented with 2 mg/l BAP displayed the best response followed by MS with 2 mg/l BAP, 1 mg/ l ABA and 0.5 mg/l IAA. Flower buds were developed both directly from callus and regenerated plantlets from leaf explants under 16 h (39.3 μmol m-2s-1) phot...

Effect of Genotype and Explant Type on in Vitro Shoot Regeneration of Tomato (lycopersicon Esculentum Mill.)

In order to select the best tomato cultivar for Agrobacterium mediated gene transformation studies, In vitro regeneration frequency of hypocotyls, leaf disc and shoot tip of five tomato cultivars (Lycopersicon esculentum) was investigated on a regeneration medium supplemented with 1 mg/l zeatin and 0.1 mg/l indole-3-acetic acid. Significant differences in regeneration capacity between genotypes...

Differences in Rubisco and Chlorophyll Content among Tissues and Growth Stages in Two tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) Varieties

Ribulose-1,5-bisphosphate carboxylase oxygenase (Rubisco) is a key enzyme in the photosynthetic assimilation of CO2 and the most abundant leaf protein. The amounts of chlorophyll (chl) and Rubisco have often been considered, respectively, as indices of light harvesting and Calvin cycle capacities of leaves. The purpose of this study was to analyze the changes in chlorophyll content and the leve...

Proteomic analysis of tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum) pollen.

In flowering plants, pollen grains are produced in the anther and released to the external environment with the primary function of delivering sperm cells to the female gametophyte. This study was conducted to identify proteins in tomato pollen and to analyse their roles in relation to pollen function. Tomato is an important crop which is grown worldwide and is an excellent experimental system....

Molecular and biochemical protective roles of sodium nitroprusside in tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.) under salt stress

Salinity stresses act as inhibitor factors of plant growth. They can change the physiological characteristics and limit the production of crops. Sodium nitroprusside (SNP) is a stable free radical which use as a signalling molecule in plants and participates in various plant’s physiological, biochemical and molecular processes and also in plant’s responses to environmental stresses. We investig...
